Guests can check-in any time after 2pm but must check-out no later than 10:30am on the day of departure. When you arrive at Cochran's Cabins, the security deposit, pet deposit(s) (if applicable) and remainder of the balance for your reservation will be due. Please remember that credit cards are not accepted.

Also remember that there is NO maid service - the cabins offered are housekeeping cabins. Cabins are clean when guests arrive and must be left clean upon departure otherwise your security deposit will be forfeited.

There is a phone at our check-in spot for guests to use 24/7. Some guests give this # to their friends/family back home as an emergency contact #.


There is a parking space at each cabin and plenty of parking on-property for other vehicles and boat trailers.

What to bring!

Linens: unless otherwise notated, linens are not provided. Guests should bring sheets for double beds or sleeping bag, blankets, pillow cases, towels, beach towels; for guests who are traveling from a great distance, lines/towels/blankets can be provided for a fee. Note: linens for Camps Marnie and Melissa are always provided (guests of these cabins do not need to bring linens).

Refillable water bottles you do not need to bring your own water - our water is delicious here. We encourage guests to bring refillable water bottles and DISCOURAGE the kind that you throw away (the ones that are filling up our landfills!).

Outdoor Items: bug spray, good walking shoes, life vests for boaters/swimmers, flashlights, binoculars, camera, area map, hiking/trail maps, fishing maps

Kitchen/Cooking Items: charcoal for grill, food, water bottles for excursions, cooler with ice (refrigerators are in each cabin; however, to avoid having to make ice, some guests choose to bring their own)

Entertainment: cards, board games, imagination! Note: cabins do NOT have TVs, phones or Internet access; common areas near the main house do have Internet/Wi-Fi access and a phone land line

Navigation: map, compass or watch with compass

Sun Protections: sunscreen, lip balm, sunglasses, sun-shielding hat and clothing

Other: headlamp, extra batteries, jacket or vest, first-aid supplies, knife or multi-tool, fishing/hunting permits, toilet paper, camera, two-way radios

Veteran campers bring things in laundry baskets and/or transparent boxes with lids - you can then store things underneath the beds!
