The Property
There are 12 total cabins and 2 lean-tos on our property. Our sister
property, Kiwassa Lake B&B, also has 4 oversized suites. The cabins
and lean-tos are spaced 100 to 400 feet apart on over 20 wooded Adirondack acres, which allows
ample privacy. Shorelines along the Adirondack waterways & paths are naturally wooded. Each
Adirondack cabin
has its own dock to keep a boat or canoe. Every Adirondack cabin has a knotty pine
finish & linoleum floors. Smoking is NOT allowed in the cabins.
Larger
Cabins
The larger cabins are various
styles, accommodate up to 9 guests and are housekeeping
cabins which means there is no maid service. ALL cabins have a private bathroom,
kitchen and woodstove.
Mid-Size
Cabins
The mid-size cabins each have two
bedrooms, accommodate up to 4 guests and and are
housekeeping cabins which means there is no maid service. ALL cabins have a private bathroom,
kitchen and woodstove.
One Room
Cabins
The one room cabins each have
spacious decks and accommodate up to 2 guests. Both have a private bathroom.
Lean-tos
The lean-tos allow guests to camp
out on an authentic lean-to with access to Kiwassa Lake. One is
a basic lean-to and one has a shower, and fire pit.
What to bring
The Adirondack
Cabins
are amidst wooded Adirondack acres. It is wise to bring flashlights and
sneakers as the paths to the cabins are naturally wooded. Other items:
binoculars for the beautiful scenery, hiking/boating gear, food, linens
for double size beds (except pillows), charcoal if you plan to grill, games or books for
entertainment (no TVs). Click

Internet
& Cell phones
Due to the
Adirondack wooded preserve, Internet and cell phones may not be accessible at your
cabin. However, the main house and greens are WiFi compatible. Feel free
to bring your laptop and set up on the porch (or on a cozy Adirondack
chair on the main lawn area).
Housekeeping
Our larger
and mid-size cabins are housekeeping cabins which means
there is no maid service. Guests must leave the cabin as
they found it meaning clean and ready for the next guests.
Guests that do not follow this policy will will forfeit
their security deposit.
Pet
Policy
There is a
non-refundable pet fee of $50/week per pet. Before your stay, you must
notify Cochran's Cabins that you will be bringing your pet(s) or your
reservation may be considered void upon arrival. Please familiarize

The
Area
The Adirondack cabins are located on Lake Kiwassa & Kiwassa Outlet, 3 miles by
paved road from the Village of Saranac Lake, which has supermarkets,
restaurants, sporting goods stores, Adirondack gift shops, taxis,
churches, garages, banks, golf courses, tennis, & basketball courts,
hiking trails, and Laundromats.
